Lost in Translation

Inspired by untranslatable words, “Lost in Translation” is my forth album as leader, released by the American label Outside in Music in October 2021. Recorded in December 2020, it features José Soares (saxophone) and André Matos (guitar) and was supported by GDA Foundation, Antena2, Companhia de Actores and Teatro Municipal Amélia Rey Colaço. As a special guest, João Almeida (trumpet), joins the trio on 3 compositions.

The cycle of music includes compositions inspired by more than 10 languages from all over the world, including Tulu, Urdu, Sanskrit and Wagiman (only spoken by 2 people in the world!).
